Begin your glasswork journey with our recommended class for beginners! Join Marion as she shares her passion for fused glass. In this engaging class, you will dive into glass cutting techniques, focusing on how to create straight lines as well as more intricate patterns. You will have the opportunity to get hands-on experience with different forms of fusible glass, including various types, colors, and textures. We prioritize safety, ensuring a secure and yet enjoyable learning experience for all participants, encouraging exploration and experimentation with glass.

You'll create two distinct items from the two available project options - (2) beautiful Suncatchers that will catch and refract light beautifully in your home; (2) whimsical Garden Stakes that can bring flair to your outdoor spaces; and (2) exquisite Coasters to protect your surfaces while adding a pop of creativity to your home décor.

Note: Artwork will be carefully fired in a kiln and may take up to 7 days to complete the process and reach you, ensuring that each piece is handled with the utmost care and attention.

What to Bring

  • Closed toed shoes are required for your safety and protection while working. These types of shoes provide better coverage and stability especially when handling tools and materials that may present a risk of injury.

  • You are welcome to bring a mask, if you would feel more comfortable. It’s always a good idea to have one on hand, particularly in environments where dust or small particles may be present. A mask can help ensure that you breathe easier and remain comfortable during your tasks.

  • Some people prefer to wear gloves when working with glass. As it can make some folks less sensitive to the glass, this is optional, depending on your personal comfort level. If you choose to wear gloves, make sure to find a pair that fits snugly and are rubberized, as this will help in preventing the glass from slipping out of your grasp and causing accidents.

  • All drinks should have a sealed top to avoid spills and contamination. . A bottle with a secure lid is highly recommended.
